I agree 100% - The "DEL" is a GEM!
Absolutely amazing property located on one of the highest ranked beaches in the world!
You can sit up at the pool top bar/restaurant area and have a nice meal while watching the sunset.
Hilton bought it and is doing a major remodel, even adding a Nobu restaurant.

I have stayed there many times. Their beach is considered in the top 10 in the US. Very enjoyable

I absolutely LOVE the Del. Have stayed there many a time, for small vacays with family, including the infamous “haunted” room. I believe “some like it hot” with Marilyn Monroe was filmed there, and the hotel touts that fact for recognition. It’s a beautiful resort, and the island is quaint and niche. Glad you were able to spend a little time there, the gent you went to see obviously has exquisite taste in accommodations. Xoxo Merry Christmas

My favorite Italian joint, Marios is across the street.
It is too far to travel there, but it is worth it if that ever made sense.

And regarding Riverside Inn, there is an amazing French restaurant about 3 short blocks away.

I haven't been in a while. It's such a beautiful place so I can only imagine how magical it looks!
People don't put up lights and decorations that much anymore. I was so disappointed last year and it seems like this year is about to be the same. I'll definitely have to make a visit this week! I LOVE ❤️

Parking can be a pain. 3 blocks away in the residential area it's free.
Best to get off at Market st. from the 60 east bound.
