Do we need faster jet engines or just faster planes?

It is the pilot that matters sitting behind the controls and throttle..faster engines will do nothing if pilot can not overcome the g forces.
|

Commercially we have faster jets, you just have to be able to afford them.
Militarily, AI pilots are being tested which won't have g-force limitations. that should get interesting.

G force only happens when the plane do a fast take off or a hard turn. Just like you in a car, if you go 0-60 in 2 sec, you will feel the force that push you back on the seat, similarly when you go into a bank turn with high speed. If you go 0-60 in 30 second, you won't feel much of that force on you.
