I believe she is asking for a gun/rifle recommendation.

If for concealed carry, Glock 26 and M&P Shield, if not Glock 19. All 9mm
Build a AR-15 class at Redstone Firearms. https://www.redstonefirearms.com/
You'll spend a little more but they'll take care of you. I do all my training thru them.
Have fun and be safe!

For range leisure 9mm is the way to go. The ammo is cheaper and the round has less kickback.

Recommend the Federation issue Z-1000 Photon rifle with matching FRYU-275 Phaser pistol.
Mine are signed by James Tiberiius Kirk.
Do NOT get the "Sulu" model as they're prone to explosive breech failure.
Good luck at the range!

Cool

For just plinking get a 10/22.
Ammo is dirt cheap and the gun is a classic reliable workhorse.
If you want something a little bigger get a Ruger PC9.
Ammo is "affordable" and it takes Glock 17/19 mags.... if you get a Glock you have cross compatibility.
Avoid the bigger stuff. It's $1.50 or more a round to feed my .308, and that's for the cheap stuff.

Burro Canyon, north of Azusa on hwy 39 which would be off 210 fwy at Azusa ave
|

Most any 22 ,as it will be the least expensive to shoot.
|
|
|
Take a gun safety class first, if you don't have any handling experience. Best would be a private lesson with a certified instructor who can show you with a gun they are familiar with.

+1 to Ruger 10/22

Do NOT get any pistol that uses trigger pull as safety, that totally sucks.
If you bring a weapon in, normally ranges will let you swap and test.
Recommend testing a LOT and really consider why you're buying one.....plus fit and comfort.
CCW pistols typically smaller, more difficult to target.....basically designed for close in wet work and easy concealment.
Larger pistols are harder to conceal carry but typically better on target.
If it's all about a lot of range firing, think about cost of ammo

Got to agree with Styxie and Lou:
For just plinking get a 10/22.

Plus, you can scope a 10-22 for a few bucks and have some real fun, FF

Goto to on of the indoor ranges that rents pistols and see what you are comfortable with. I like the Ruger .22 semi-autos, Walther and Sig 9mm, S&W .357 and always a COLT 1911 .45.
For rifles Ruger 10-22, my trusty 1936 Remington .22 gallery gun

That’s awesome . What kind of scope is recommend for a tactical ruger 10/22 folding stock
|
|
|
Hey OP, have you ever shot a handgun or rifle?
|
|
|
Tactical and scope don't seam fitting for a 22 conversation. 😂
|
|
|
That's just for multiple wounds at distance so they suffer before you put 'em down with your Pfeifer-Zeliska .600 Nitro Express.
How strong are you, OP?
Any chance you could handle an M134?
Not much chance of concealing this bad boy but nothing beats it for stopping power.
Gonna need an external electric motor but you can power it with your Tesla.
Might have to go buy a Tesla, too.
Ammo might be an issue also.
Anyhow, keep us posted.

If you've got a folding stock on a 10/22 in CA..... you might not want to take that to a range cause I'm pretty sure that that is illegal as fuck.
|
|
|
Yes none.

I second Yeah's suggestion, Burro Canyon is just 15 miles north of the SGV off Azusa. The people are extremely helpful and friendly. $20. You can use both the pistol, and rifle range. .22 rifles are allowed on the pistol range. Happy shooting.
|
|
|
To my knowledge Folding stock 10/22 rifle is legal. Check with your local dealer.
|
|
|
Burro Canyon is a good outdoor range.

Hey. do you have any Suggestions On Handgun or Rifle For Shooting Range Leisure ?
You need to Google firing ranges that rent firearm. I would suggest 9MM for a Handgun & 5.56 either AR 15 or mini 14.

FT3 in Staton is a good indoor range.

Since you're in Culver City, just head to Santa Monica and locate any communists.
They are fair game but there is a bag limit plus disposal fees.
Don't even need a license as they are vermin.

I live in the inland empire. There are limited options for shooting ranges.
I'm not fond of indoor shooting. Mostly poor lighting.
So, I use Lyndal creek. Serra Ave off the 15 east.
