Definitely Mission Inn and start with the brunch, the other food there is good too and a very cool place to hang out.
Also for some different fast food try Baker's drive through. They have good burgers and tacos and burritos, also the best Strawberry Shakes anywhere, real strawberries and real ice cream, not all syrupy or icky sweet, but just right.
