Any advice? I’m doing 3-5 day fast. Only water and coffee for 3 to 5 days.
I’ve done 3 days before. Now trying to extend it a couple more days.
And good advice?

Angler and circle, I can always count on you 2! 😝👍😊 that apple pie is in the freezer for now!

My goal is to reach 205. Currently 228.

6 feet tall so 200 would be perfect weight. But haven’t weighed that in 35 years!

Wish me luck!

You have to change you're diet - take in less calories then you use throughout the day.

Try the Adkins diet - High protein & low/no carbs.
What I eat - all the meat, poultry, salads &/or steamed veggies I want. Also I don't worry about fat content in foods as they aren't carbs.
Essentially go through your pantry and toss any 'white' food you see.

I went on it years ago when I ballooned to 230, I'm 6'3".
Lost about 7 - 10 lbs a week between diet and working out.
Got back down to 185 lbs in about 1 1/2 months. Went down to 180 lbs then incrementally increased my carb intake til I wasn't gaining weight but also wasn't losing it til I was back to between 185 - 190. Have been there ever since.
I do a 'cheat' day once every week or 2, where I eat anything I want but I know it takes on average 3 days to flush carbs I've eaten out of my system.

I fast everyday. I’ll wait to eat a good meal with no carbs or sugar around 4-6
I’ll drink water and this isn’t to lose weight or anything most of the food is crap and bad for your body so I try to stick to meats and veggies
I do have some cheat days because I lovvve my cheeseburgers but I don’t eat sugar at all.

Thanks for all the advice to those who were helpful.
I think electrolytes are very good advice. I have some
Powder supplements that will work.
3 days will be good if I can do it. I have before.
And just left the gym after a short workout. Feel good so far. Only water and coffee
Last 20 hours.
Enjoy your evening all.

You want to first get your bmr. Once you calculate that thej take away about 300 to 500 cals (aggressive weight loss). Dont do keto or atkins. The minute you introduce carbs back you will start to gain weight. Another more important reason not to cut carbs is that this will lower your estrogen levels that you will risk a greater chance of cancer. Your hormones will be out of whack. Its simple cal in cals out. When u eat 3500 cals less in a week you loose 1lb. Carb cycle. Have a nornal day. Then next 2 days do 0 carbs. Carby cycle. Weight loss is achieved without doing heavy amounts of cardio. Pm me and i can setup a meal prep for you

I did this for 3 days and felt great but I immediately went back to my bad eating habits the next week

I wanted to do a 5 day fast this time but I am having a hard time staying committed. It would be extremely beneficial for my skin and mental clarity but I just can't get go more than 8 hours without "needing a snack" lol

I know people do it for religious reasons and I'm just like how?!? Teach me lol

If you are a little overweight for your height and frame then just simply cutting out breads, pastries, and sweets will work. Complex carbs are OK.

Ooo I'm qualified for this. Longest fast has been 5 days. I stopped bc couldn't sleep afterwards.

Definitely supplement some electrolytes to help your sleep. Depending on how strict we are, a multi and fish oil may be beneficial. (Watch out for gi symptoms tho)

Ec stack is a great supplement to take for appetite suppression. But you'll want to start slowly.

Bubbled drinks keep me full longer.

This is such a fascinating topic and something I’m really diving into myself. I’m working towards doing a 4+ day fast, and my plan is to make it an annual practice. For now, I’m starting small with micro-fasting, usually waiting until around 1pm to eat my first meal. Like you, perhaps, my interest in fasting isn’t about weight loss, it’s more about long-term health and discovering what the body can achieve when fasting becomes part of your lifestyle. The potential benefits for overall wellness are incredible.

There’s this show called *Limitless with Chris Hemsworth* that came out in 2022. It’s amazing, Chris Hemsworth takes on these intense challenges to explore how to live longer and healthier. One of the things he does is a four-day fast, which really dives into the science behind autophagy and how fasting can help regenerate the immune system. The series is all about pushing physical and mental blocks to uncover the secrets of living longer, healthier.

So, my recommendation would be to start your fast during a time when you can binge-watch Limitless. It’ll help keep you motivated and inspired throughout the process. Also, be sure you’re taking vitamins to support your body while fasting.

I wish you success, and if you don't mind. Shoot me a message on how it goes. Even better, if you write in a journal during the process so that you can be more successful later on, I would love to read it.

taking electrolytes supplements Is a must! I just finished a 3 day fast and used Ultimate electrolytes- buy on Amazon - and kettle bone broth in days 2 and 3. Look up Dana White fasting on YouTube, follow his advice.

June, I do a fleet enema the first day to avoid eliminate toxic remains. Sorry, TMI.
