I'm going to Maui in June...
I got 2 round trip first class tickets for $ 2,037 = all in , taxes included, on Delta Airlines... LAX to OGG = Kahului Maui Airport ...
First Class is the only way to Hawaii, so I thought 2 tix at 2 k was a pretty good deal...
I checked with Hawaiian and Alaskan Air before I made the purchase, and both H & A were significantly higher priced... About $ 3200 for 2 first class tickets round trip...

Hawaiian has the best first class, real meal, real dinnerware, real drinks and lay flat seats in biz or first, went this past June and things were great. American is fake first class, no lay flats and old Boeing 757's mostly. Also HI was cheaper than AA and I'm platinum on AA but went on HI anyway.

Just got back from Hawaii / Waikiki. Great time to go as it's not that crowded at all and everything is cheaper. Only downside is the Covid rules are really strict and everything shuts down at 10pm. Be prepared to wear your masks everywhere indoors and get ID / Vaccine checked a lot.

Just go to Mexico instead
Closer, cheaper, better tequila and no fucking mask rules

used to love going to cancun...wanted to bring the offspring and see all the mayan shit with them...not sure they'll ever make it down in their lifetime
prettiest water...very cool stepping out on the sand in the morning and starting your day with a 40min waverunner, jumping a few waves
