Crop photos on a laptop. Or do it on your phone.
There are many sites that will help the file not be so big. That will help to giving you more space as well.

Omg, I always thought why isn’t the crop feature more phone friendly. I always have to do it from my laptop. But, I agree with what Mila said..
The best bet is to downsize your photos so they’re not so big and don’t take so much of your photo album space, which of course we have to pay for.
