Yes, my right eye. Surgery was fast and no problems. Make sure you have a great ophthalmologist doing the procedure.

I was told early on to wear sunglasses when outside/driving and it should prolong the need to get that surgery done.

Developed cataract after retina detachment surgery: cataract surgery took place a year later. A follow up procedure was performed to clean up stuff and sight is almost back the previous normal. The laser surgery was over almost before it started: no physical pain or discomfort. Good Luck!

Funny how these things come up about the same time I see them. Even though this blog started 3 years ago and became new again. Sort of.
I haven't seen them cause I don't have them. But of the Doctors I know of, Dr Ardis is one I trust to steer one in the right direction.

Covered by Medicare. If you are over 65, the procedure will cost you about $600. My advice, don't go for the upsell to special lenses. The basic lens is all most people require. Went to 3 doctors before I found the one to do the procedure. Most tried to upsell to dual focus or laser adjustable lenses. Look for FACS in the doctors credits.I got monovision which is one eye corrected for near vision and the other for distance. No glasses or contacts and I can see as well as I ever did with contacts.
There is a second procedure with a YAG laser to clean up the lens/cornea. You may need this as well after the lens implant. Also, covered by medicare.
