Yes, Taylor is so correct. A short time of following requirements and the transmissions shrink exponentially.

I work in an essential industry so I have to go into work most days. But I’m the only one in my office, so I might as well be home
|
|
|
At work as usual. Found that I pretty much only shop for essentials anyway.
So, I haven't changed my boring life much at all.

So sorry for your loss Ms UE, never is a good thing when it hits close to home. Prayers for your cousin. Was that person one of the high risk individuals for the virus? No disrespect meant

So sorry for your loss UE. And I’m sorry that I’m following up to say your post gives me confirmation that this IS a real problem.
I have been bleaching my walls, door knobs, cupboards and bathrooms twice a day. I will admit that I’ve seen some regulars but I request they take hot showers for 5-10 minutes fully lathering up before interaction (of course that’s after they answered a few basic questions with a “no)
Unfortunately I don’t have anyone willing to pay my rent for the month so you are truly blessed in that regardS But I a limiting my needs and deleting my WANTS so that I need less 💲
We all have to survive at the end of the day, I hope everyone takes every precautionary measure they can to make it work for them
Many prayers for your family and you in this time of loss

"He went to the hospital yesterday with symptoms . They said they tested him and he was negative then told him him it was just a cold or flu and sent him home. He died this morning"
holy cow. it's one thing to get sick but with that rapid rate of health deterioration, he didn't even have a chance to get treated. Sorry to hear that

People are mistaken if they believe that only the elderly are at risk. If your immune system is compromised this thing can take you down. Stay the course with the social distancing.

Aren’t you really asking “Who’s not getting any?”

UE, so sorry for the loss and the thing hitting closer to home. And glad you have a safe haven.
If you look in Italy and other countries, people who die from this are mostly over 50 but not all--even many doctors and health care workers have died and people in 20's, 30's, 40's... otherwise healthy and previously fine.
The scary thing is many people seem to survive IF they get short term medical care, but without it they are gone. So the potential shortage of medical facilities is really frightening--a person who can recover if they can be on a ventilator for a day or two will die if there are not enough ventilators.
In New York, they are setting up temporary hospitals and trying to MacGyver ventilators to handle 2 patients each...

I been home since March 6th.
I have ankle monitor and I can go as far outside as to get the mail.
Sometime the Amazon delivery guy put my boxes on the steps and the dang thing zapS the he'll out of me.
Just kidding.
I have just been home since March 6th.
I've left 3 times to go to the store.
I am use to being home Fri n Sat night anyways for the last 2+years cuz I don't drink. I also think I'm going to do homework those days but don't till super late Sunday or 20 mins before the assignment is due. I have been keeping vampire graveyard hours. I was up all night and sleep around 7am.. I'm also going to bed right now. Nap time. I feel like I can sleep during the day and the day goes by faster. And at night it goes by slower when I'm awake. Super quiet. I am being extra wordy today in my comments. I bet u can't guess why!

So sorry for your loss UE. My cousin's wife in the UK is a nurse and she came down with it and was put on a respirator. She is recovering and was taken off the respirator. I think she's in her 40s but on the front line. It is hitting within 1-2 degrees of me. It is concerning.

The biggest disservice done to the public was politicians and the media driving the idea that this was mostly only concerning for the elderly and immuno-compromised. If they didn't start like that (all) people would've definitely taken this more seriously.

Most of you have heard that a family in New Jersey had four family members die from the Coronavirus. It is very strange that so many members from one family would die from it.
A doctor I know told me that that suggests that there is a genetic component to how one reacts to the virus. Some people will be asymptomatic (have no symptoms, but are still highly contagious), while others will react very badly to it and will need to be hospitalized.
There are plenty of 20, 30, 40, and 50 year olds who will need to be hospitalized. Age doesn’t dictate how badly you’ll react to it.
Smokers are at particularly high risk with this virus. The pneumonia that results from the virus causes your lungs to fill with fluid and blood, making it difficult to breath without a respirator. Smokers have it much worse than none smokers.
The death rate will increase when hospitals run out of respirators, which is why there is such a scramble to source them now.
The point of the social isolation, hand washing, etc., is to make sure the rate of infection is slowed. Otherwise, if too many people get sick all at once, the number of deaths will quickly increase.
Please take this virus seriously. We will eventually get through it.
Sorry for repeating what I’ve written before, I just want people to be safe and get through this.

It's not evidence yet.
But ppl are looking at blood types of those affected in other countries
O+ was a 40% of the cases.
I'm hoping all these childhood illnesses I had as a kid and adult is gonna b helpful as far as antibodies go

@chenninblanc2018
You're sweet. Thankfully, I don't have any family members who've contracted the virus so far.
I referred to a family in New Jersey in the news that had 4 deaths due to the virus (which is very unusual) to postulate that there may be a genetic component to reacting badly to the virus.
Some of us will get infected and not even know it (not showing any symptoms), while others will react very badly to it and can potentially die. Our genetics will likely determine how we will react to it.
