Hopefully an awesome weekend of playoffs. I don't know who will win or lose but I predict at least one blow out (which will be boring) and one upset. For the blow out, somewhere in the AFC, and the upset in the NFC.

49ers win. Minnesota is too inconsistent
Seahawks win. Seattle is just too good.
Seahawks beat the 49ers (finally) to win the NFC championship.
Baltimore win. Just too powerful.
Houston wins. KC has been horrible at home.
Baltimore wins the AFC championship.
Baltimore wins the Super Bowl.

Well..: I’m 0-2 so far. I expected to be wrong about the 49er / Viking game, but I’m really shocked about the Ravens.

The hype came crashing down.

Tennessee beat the Chiefs once. They could do it again. Chiefs' running game defense is suspect.

Like Mahomes last year... it was just a matter of time and enough tape before defenses developed schemes that slowed him down.
First the Chiefs have to get by Houston. Hopefully the Ravens loss was a wake up call that will keep their head in the right place.
Titans beat the chiefs by 3 when Mahomes was out. I’m hoping Chiefs Offense can outscore them while the Defense does just enough to slow them down.
Chiefs haven’t scored like last year... some was because of better defensive schemes against them... but some of that was by design. 2 minute scoring drives KILL your defense. The defense has performed well the last several weeks... but that was against suspect offenses.

Baltimore and Patriots have the 5th and 6th best rushing defense in the league, but Derrick Henry destroyed them. Chiefs have 26th running defense. 49ers have the 17th. Tennessee could win it all if they can continue doing what they are doing.

Titans beat the Chiefs with Mahomes this year. It was his first game back from injury.

If KC can get by Houston... it will be a fun game to watch.
But first things first.
KC’s run defense was horrible the first half of the season (allowing almost 130 yds a game). Partially because they were just bad... and partially because Frank Clark and Chris Jones were in and out of the line-up due to injury.
When healthy... their run defense becomes a bit more stout. Over the last 6 games they reduced their yards on the ground allowed by about 30 percent. (85 yds a game over the last 6) but that wasn’t against a guy like Henry.
Key for the Chiefs would be to get a lead and try to make Tannehill beat you. 7 for 14 probably won’t beat the chiefs. He plays a bit like Mahomes in that they use Henry to get the Safeties to start to cheat down.... once you do that a couple of times... and you think it’s working... boom... over the top.
The chiefs use Kielce and Robinson the same way. Dink/Dunk 5 yards. Safeties cheat up just a little... Hill or Hardman over the top.
I think in the playoffs we will see KC open up their offense more than we saw in the regular season. They mad a big effort to hold the ball longer to help the defense not have to be on the field as long.
Last year KC always lost the Time of Possession stat by a lot. Scoring fast is great for the offense... and really fun to do... and watch. But letting your defense rest for 3-4 5 plays... then they have to get back in there taxes it. Particularly by the time you get to the 4th qtr when you need it to step up.

It’s going to be a Chiefs-49ers Super Bowl, but my heart is with the Titans because I like their story this season, their style of play, and their underdog status.

You’re probably right about the 49ers/Chiefs. But I hate the 49ers almost as much as I hate the Rams, so... I’ll be pulling for the Packers.
That Super Bowl would make one insurance company really happy though.

Packers secondary had an amazing game. There had to have been 5 plays where Russell Wilson had ALL DAY to throw it.... and receivers couldn’t break open. You don’t see that often.
I hope Next week they line up Adams on Richard Sherman’s side often... and Adams torches him.

The Titans already beat the Chiefs once this year WITH Mahomes.
The Titans have OWNED the Chiefs in the Andy Reid era. Reid is 1-5 against them. Henry has totaled 55 carries for 402 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns in 3 games.
If I were the Chiefs, I'd be terrified of the Titans.

BTW... I expected Tennessee to beat NE. Was hoping they would beat Baltimore... but didn’t have the same confidence they would. Thought Baltimore would win. But they exposed LJ emotional youth and inexperience. Had a great defensive scheme.
