At least include the link to the former blog...
And I would say liberals believe this is a good way along with removing Prop 13 protections to make housing more affordable.
They’re 100% wrong. But they’ll try to make that argument.

Sorry about the link...I was so concerned to actually put up the link to a reliable news source about the FACTS...forget the previous blog.

I'm not a Liberal you idiot.
I vote as a Republican when it's needed.
I vote as a Democrat when it's needed.
I am an Independent.
Homeless?
Really?
And you bring this issue on to this site?
Why and do you have a solution?

Housing is a human right though. Developers shouldn’t be hoarding vacant homes. The women occupying the house in question are all employed and educated (not that that makes a difference but since there’s so much speculation going on about them in the previous blog). You guys really don’t understand the meaning of the words “radical action” do you?
You reactionaries on the internet are always so loud and obnoxious with the false class consciousness. You slay me. “ThOse pRopERtiEs BeLoNg tO tHoSe HardWorKiNG cHiNeSE DevEloPErS daMN iT.” 100% entertainment.

"Housing is a human right though. "
I'm sort of curious if people disagree, then what DO they consider to be human rights?

Sure am glad about that high speed train though.....liberals can't waste tax dollars fast enough and now we have a homeless epidemic....with feces, rats, and diseases....but damn we're gonna get a train!

I would think that one or two of their 50 supporters would offer them free room and board.

So, to be clear, the women have a human right to take over a place they deem appropriate, but the property owner has no rights to what happens to his property, since he is hoarding vacant property?
Some of you are truly fucked up. Guessing you don't own anything worth taking.
Radical action. Pffft. You definitely need to stay living in California.

This whole plea of human rights is a trojan horse of communism. I wish the communists on the left promoting "Squatters Rights" Just had the balls to say so. Just say "we want to take your shit" and don't get upset when real American Capitalists say "Over my dead body" ding ding ring the bell. There is no common sense middle ground on this issue. Its just war.

This blog has been fascinating. I am actually astonished that anybody would take the side of the "poor mothers". This literally makes no sense to me.
The people arguing that the "poor mothers" are being picked on it asinine. Obviously those making those comments have never rented out a property. I did it for over 20 years and it was a 50/50 crap shoot as to whether or not you'd get respectable people or fucking animals living there. Trust me, getting those animals kicked out after they have trashed your place and stopped paying rent is a nightmare.
I understand that some people have it tough. Fucking move if you don't like it there, people do it all the time.

Look who is talking about BREAKING THE LAW lol
The Whistleblower Protection Act of 1989, 5 U.S.C. ... A federal agency violates the Whistleblower Protection Act if agency authorities take (or threaten to take) retaliatory personnel action against any employee or applicant because of disclosure of information by that employee or applicant.
Your president Trump tweeted the identity of whistleblower. Few times ... who is breaking the law now ? Suckers
What the fuck don't people understand....
These women broke the law....the broke into another person's house and started living there.
And now they want to claim that housing is a human right.....
Yeah, you have the right to go get a fucking job, earn a living and pay for a house or apartment.
If CA is too expensive, then either go someplace else or start to use your heads and vote these assholes out who have driven the cost of living up and the jobs out of this state.

“ What the fuck don't people understand.... ”
President of UNiTED STATES OF AMERICA BROKE the LAW .........
What’s the difference , Law is LAW
Now Jazz51 will be all honest and will say let’s prosecute the president for that lol
What law has he broken.....we still haven't seen any evidence of ANYTHING......
Just a whole lot of bullshit
This blog has nothing to do with the fucking president, why bring it up?
The liberals have to bring it up, since they have no response for the blog.....
The law bans retaliation against an employee for blowing the whistle on perceived wrongdoing. It requires the inspector general to keep the lid on the whistleblower's name, but it does not stop a member of Congress, a president or anyone else from identifying a whistleblower.

Just an FYI. These squaters laws were passed by dumb ass conservatives not dumb ass liberals. Some genuses only see things as liberal and conservative wow. Good job.
The liberals are taking them to places the laws were never intended.

I have rental properties... CA housing laws lean heavily in favor of tenants.
It can take 6 months to a year to actually get a deadbeat tenant out. This is one reason rents are so high. I have to factor in eviction and non-payment costs. Not to mention repair costs that go beyond any deposit.
I will sell most of my CA properties this year in favor of out of state properties.
@Kaiser- getting out of the landlord business in CA seems like a very prudent goal considering how this great state is really going full blown communista and all. Right?

Not to inject intellect into this conversation but the case example provided by the OP is a Squatters Rights (aka Adverse Possession) case. It's not a "Liberal vs. Conservative" issue as all 50 states allow for adverse possession in one form or another. There are numerous legitimate purposes for the laws which is why they still exist today.
Like any enacted ordinance, there is the law of unintended consequences that allow for abuses of the system. This OP posted a case that may be an abuse of the system.
Flip side is, when developers hoard properties and leave them abandoned (and in many cases they do so to drive down the property values of a neighborhood to make subsequent acquisitions less expensive) they can cause more damage to a community than any squatter presents.
The article doesn't provide enough detail on the specific circumstances for an intelligent person to make an informed decision on right vs. wrong.
Life isn't black or white (or Liberal vs. Conservative). We live in the gray. Extremists live in the arenas of black and white and they (both sides) are dangerous members of our society.

question as a matter of interest ? slum lord ?
Is what it is.....I ignore all that shit and let people be idiots.
Why in the world would we enforce laws. We let vets die in the streets so people here illegally (breaking the law) can get care, etc. with not paying tax. Not how an economy works. Not how laws work.
Thank you Stock Market
