The % they take is a huge. But we wanted to offer as many options as possible for convince. Definitely why we prefer people use crypto or mail in.
Crypto has much larger bonuses for that reason.

hearing that fees change all the time I finally dumped my gift card into FXPs...and with no surcharge. thx for reminding me to get off my arse. FXPs re-upped and 120 more days of mail privs...although i still had a few days left of it.

So i made a mistake and bought a 25$ apple card when there was no option to redeem it for that much on HX. Now I just have a gift card laying around. Can I still still the gift card at the app store ?

I support this site by buying FX points. Well worth the small expense.
I have been using gift cards and now see that the site is getting ripped off.

Not sure about your card, but I purchased a Target MasterCard and when it didnt work I used the Help feature to contact the processor. They said it was the wrong type of card. When I looked closer it said Debit Card. I exchanged it for a regular Target Gift Card and it worked fine. This was 2 days ago...

For anyone interested, you can buy Fandango gift cards at cardpool.com at a 20% discount with no hidden fees. You can't use cash, so not for everyone, but delivery is nearly instant. Guest checkout is an option.
Just did this and it worked like a charm.
They sell other cards too, but I bought a card that I might actually have a use for in case the FX purchase didn't work out. The site claims savings up to 35%, but of course YMMV.
Decent site even if you don't need FX points.

Tried to add a $50 Apple GC yesterday, got the Success screen with the details but no email and didn't credit to my account. Was told to try again.
Today tried again and go the card used before message, use another card. The value is still on the Apple GC.
I buy a $50 Home Depot card, get the Success message again no email confirmation and no update to my points balance.
What is going on with the Gift card points purchase?
