Thanks all for your feed back. Unfortunately I was young and dumb once.
Fyi I do have cash.
|
|
|
If you do have cash, put 80-90% down, finance the rest, it will help you reestablish your credit.

lol you dumb fucks telling her options that she cant use
"if you have cash you should buy your Bentley with cash!!!!!"

You should just buy a car out right with whatever cash you have.
Save money until you have about half the amount of car you want
cost. Go to reputable dealer with cash & your car as trade in.
If you to one of those dealers that except no credit/bad credit or
anyone your going to pay several extra thousand dollars. Plus
you might not have any kinda of warranty or more likely to
by a car with problems.
Go to an action or tow company.

Or a Mazerati and then get it impounded and then ask everyone for help to get your car out of Car Jail.

My credit score went down from 825 to 820 I think because I haven't financed anything in fifteen years. I did cosign for the wife's car. I have no motivation to get it back up.

Statewide Auto in Sun Valley. They don't check your credit at all. They only sell luxury cars...Mercedes, BMW, etc...
They require:
30% down payment
a checking account
california drivers license
That's it. But...beware...most of their cars are lemon law buybacks which will make it difficult to re-sell. High interest...but you'll have a short loan...about 3 years. And 50% bumper to bumper warranty is nice.
Get yourself a nice car. You'll be happy you did.

If you are serious about improving your credit and buying a car to get you from point a to b and if you have an 18 month time horizon. Here is my advice.
Key facts:
#1 10,000 dollars. Hard Cash.
#2 open a savings account with a credit union. Take 5,000.00 out of the 10,000.00.
#3 buy a commuter car like a used Toyota Corolla or a Honda Civic for 5,000.00 cash.
Make sure you get the paid off pink slip is in your name alone.
#4 take the pink slip to the credit union that you have a 5000 savings account and tell them you want to do a cash secured car loan for 2,500.00 over a 24 month period.
Irregardless of your credit history the fact remains you want to do a loan that is secured with cash and is double the value of the loan.
#5 you will not be able to access the 5,000.00 while the loan is not paid off.
This is my advice . I hope this helps you out.

If I were you I'd buy a junker like key mentioned. Expect it to fall apart but know you didn't have to save too much to get it. The real issue like everyone is saying is your credit you should fix that shit asap and it's going to be a 1or 2 year long process. BUT I'm sure you only live in the moment and have lots of excuses and life shit getting in the way and only planning you make is whatever Priceline offers for the upcoming week.
Or you can be like them cool hip millennials and feel like a privileged snob to have some pleb Uber you around to the club or that new cafe that serves that 🔥 avacado toast then cry when you see you spent 400 on Uber fare that month and run away from your problems like they all do.
Actually what I think you need are more guy friends that you can edge just enough to taxi you around and maybe pay for things until their blue balls crush their spirits or until they come to find they could bypass the headache by finding you here
Srsly tho fix yo credit! Get a cheap car with no payments

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but check out the Fair app. You put a down payment and then pay a monthly rate but it’s not a contract like leasing or purchasing a car. Getting a loan (debt) for a used car ain’t all that smart, and if you cheap out on the price you’ll end up paying more in costs down the road to maintenance.

In box me, I had my credit in the 600s years back. And there are a few places that worked w me.
I’m in the 800s now, BUT IT’s dangerous! Having good credit simply means u got an emergency cushion. NOTHING ELSE! It doesn’t mean upgrade your car and take a vacation! NO!!
Be smart! Don’t live off your credit cards because you’re being dumb!

Two things:
Cash is King. Buy a cheap car with the cash you have. I bought a used Geo Metro for $2K years back. Think of all the Ks you save.

FYI: Most used car dealers work with those who have bad credit! Unfortunately for you, that's where they make the most money. Please be very, very careful.
