budget and time avail?

Got a VRBO about 2 miles from the beach.
Saw the wailua falls. It's all barricaded off, but there was this meth-head named Donny selling some kind of flowers he makes by folding palm leaves. We got to talking and he brought us down to the base of the falls that was cool.
Paddle boarded up some river the next day.
Hiked the kalalau trail to some other crazy ass waterfall another day.
Right when you get off the plane there's a place called hamura saimin. They make good... Saimin.

vrbo is great way to go
saw a cancun trip with air and hotel for about 2k for two people...might be close with taxes and adding food and entertainment....might need to make it 3k
i had few good vacations there...we had a dangerous mexico thread a month ago with all the killing going on

book the air first and wait till last week and nab a vrbo or time share for dirt cheap half price...takes some patience and balls with the cost of flight out there and place not locked up as time clicks by
i saw some flights for under 400 a piece with a stop or two and a great timeshare (royal sands) i have rented and stayed at for 700-1000 bucks(normally they go for 2kplus)....might have chance to stay closer to 2500 budget
